Best gaming microphone solution

I need a mic to talk in-game and was wondering what option is best. I have around $30 to spend. I just use this cheapo headset with a broken mic that I got like 3 years ago. Should I buy a new headset or a just a microphone? I only need it for talking and my current sound quality is not terrible. If so which ones? I'm have never really had a high quality headset or owned a mic so I dont know what to look for. Thanks.

Are you stuck with 30 bucks? If you could save up another 20 bucks you could a Blue Snowball, an excellent desktop mic for 50 bucks. Seriously, check the reviews, it's great.

I'd recommend the atr 2500 (My current mic) but it's stuck at $70 on amazon which sucks cause when I bought it it was only $40. Look around and maybe even mass drop. A good thing to do is look through amazon and find a mic with good reviews. You could also return it in 30 days cause amazon if it doesn't work how you want.
