My dad and I just built a new pc with all new parts...except for the monitors. we are using some 2010 hp and aoc monitors and they use vga. We bought adapters and used the VGA-DVI adapter that came with my 960 and an VGA-HDMI but they just say no signal. Everything works just fine so we don't know what to do. Is it a problem with the monitor? Graphics card? What? I don't think that the problem is with the graphics card since we bought it new and the monitors are really old. Pls send help.

Do you have other monitors that it could be attached to? One's with HDMI maybe?

No my dad was stubborn when I told him we had to buy new monitors. We got these when he got a prebuilt computer 6 years ago.

Do you have a TV with HDMI?

Well at least the screen displays no signal, so you know it's not just dead. The cables might be the problem here. Check if the output of your VGA converter isn't DVI-D or DVI-I.

I know I, back in the days, managed to fit a DVI-I male connector into a DVI-D female connector, so...Yep I used to be (read still am) a retard.

Should the fans to the graphics card work on boot up? I didn't use an adapter I used HDMI on the TV.

Which version of the 960 is is (Yeah, probably)

We are using an EVGA 4gb GTX 960.

Did you plug both(or single) power cable in the GPU? You were saying the fans did not power up, so I'm starting from the lower end of the complexity Spectrum problem, not saying your not tech savvy or sumting

Could it be the PSU? Which PSU are you using?
