So my gf's family has a mid-2007 Mac desktop and it hasn't been booting for them, I told  them I'd look into it just to see if we can get an idea of the problem. Now I know nothing about Macs, which I told them, but I recognize beeps. It makes what sounds like 1 long and 1 short. (Beeeeee de sort ?)And repeats . it does this on a white bright screen after a little jingle. The Mac troubling sites closet thing to this is a single long beep saying it's for a BIOS update if it's older than 2012, which it is. But I'm convinced it's the hard drive as it's LOUD and clicky and the beep pattern doesn't seem to match. Does anyone have any advice? Am I interpreting the beep wrong? Should I let it go and see what happens?
