So I have an old HDD that I pulled out of my laptop when I swapped it with an SSD. I formatted the drive in Windows using Disk Management to wipe it clean so I can use it as an external storage drive. I was taking care of removing the recovery partitions and whatnot that are no longer useful to me, and as I was trying to extend the primary partition into the last leftover block of unallocated space, I got a popup that says that "The operation you selected will convert the selected basic disk(s) to dynamic disk(s). If you convert the disk(s) to dynamic, you will not be able to start installed operating systems from any volume on the disk(s) except the current boot volume). Are you sure you want to continue?"

I looked this error up, and what I saw was just a bunch of people that were trying to add more than 6 partitions to a single drive, which Windows requires that the drive then become dynamic. I just want to make the storage drive one partition that way I have as much available space to use as possible. Can I go ahead and make the drive dynamic? I don't plan on putting an operating system on it; I just want to use it as a place to put all my files on like my movies, photos, and music that way I'm not using up the limited space I have on my SSD. Thanks!
