Just a quick note before starting the post, I couldn't find a spot to put a cable management post on so I chose peripherals. I have a bunch of cords hanging down and it makes it rather difficult to use my g27 steering wheel when you're yanking down mice, keyboards, headphones with your feet. I have used cable drops and/or cable clips but the brand I got have failed me. Can anyone recommend good ones? Thanks in advance.

I've just used a few pieces of tape to hold mine in place behind the desk. In hindsight, I'd recommend using low-adhesive Scotch tape so as not to leave any residue on your cables.

Another innovative solution is to use hot glue or Blu-tack to stick binder clips in strategic locations and use them to route your cables. It's neater than the tape, you can remove cables without ruining the setup, and it's easy as hell to set up too. Plus, binder clips are cheap and you can find them in all sorts of sizes.

Scotch tape isn't good. If you want to tape cables, use gaffer's tape, such as This Best Seller on Amazon.

That is quite literally tape designed to not leave a residue, used in scenarios where the residue would be an issue, such as cables.

I own and use, sorted from newest to oldest: SteelSeries 6Gv2. Microsoft SideWinder X4. Mionix Naos 7000. Zowie EC1 Evo. Microsoft SideWinder X8. Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0. Dell U2414H. Samsung P2270H. AKG K273 Pro. Sennheiser HD555. Razer Goliathus Speed Medium. Func 1030 L. Qpad CT Medium.

I used to own: Razer DeathAdder 3G. Razer Krait. IntelliMouse Optical 1.1. SteelSeries QcK.

Gaffer tape didn't work too well on the surface I was taping my cables to, and I ended up using duct-tape. I've me a date with some rubbing alcohol when the time comes to clean up.
