If that's not rude, may I ask why you'd want to SLI two GTX 970 now?Or do you already have a 970 and just want to add another one?

I have the MSI GTX 970 Twin Frozr myself, but if i could then i would have bought a EVGA.

But i can recommend the Twin Frozr edition. Honestly, i do not think that there is a huge diffrence. But i would go with one with two fans or more.

Yes, the username is cringe.

Well if you need it now alright go for it, but if you can wait until Polaris/Pascal, do we don't know if they'lbe gaming oriented GPU, are coming somewhere around the late summer mark.

Because honestly, SLI/Crossfire has BAD SUPPORT IN GAMES.Single GPU over dual for me anyday. IMO

I am an nvidia fanboy (only used AMD once out of my last 5 cards and it was for cryptocoin mining) and even I want AMD to be at least close to nvidia every generation for the same reasons.

SLI doesn't scale well in most of the games. If you are gaming on a 1080p monitor, single 970 would be enough for pretty much every game to max out, for at least a couple of months. I would suggest you to get one 970 now, and save some money. Once you are ready to buy a new one, sell out the 970 you have and get a new one, whichever it is.

Wow, no one's said something like "the best 970 is a 390" yet... not bad, maybe people have learned to accept that some people actually want nvidia cards :D

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Well, some people actually have trouble bringing each month to closure, so I guess people understood that sometimes, that few bucks at the end of the year is helpful.

Honestly, for the pricepoint you might as well go higher up and instantly go for a 980ti. Probably gonna be cheaper/not much more expensive and be easier to manage and performance without OC is super similar. IDK just a thought.

OT: EVGA 970 4GB ACX 2.0+ SSC for OC potential

That's a pretty good deal actually. not that I'd go for it or anything, but if you wish to SLI somewhere down the road that's a good starting point. Even if you end up reselling that card in like 7-8 months.

But these Gainwards are 3 Slots cards. Do they fit on my Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 3. These are pretty thick but i cannot find the actual thickness to compare it to msi...
