Don't care about the price as long as it is worth it. I will be doing occasional video editing and encoding. I will be encoding videos of my phone to smaller file formats, at times editing. I will also be editing game footage and other things. Might even upload to youtube. Not the greatest expert but have small basic knowledge. So which software will be good for me. I have a R9 380 4GB and an i5-6500 paired with 8 Gb ram. If the specs help.

Vegas Edit for your purpose. Also this is very advanced a professional software. So if you are lightly using this and not using it to make money I would recommend just using a free video editor.

Hey,

I think that to begin with a free piece of software is good so:

https://hitfilm.com/express It's really great. FilmRiot (film making youtube channel) created an epic video, Portal Combat using this software and there is even a guide to help you get started.

There are also other versions (paid), should you want more features..!

Good Luck

:D

EDIT:

Forgot to mention, it is fairly lightweight (resource) so you should have no problem running it on your system.
