Im planning to do some custom sleeving for my psu and I have a few short questions for you guys.

1. Is it necessary to use tinned wire or is normal copper alright ?

2. Is 17 AWG enough for the main ATX and PCIE power cables ?

Thanks for all answers and have a nice day :D

17AWG isn't a size it would be either 18 or 16 AWG where the most common is 18AWG or the larger 16AWG can also be used if desired. The wire can be a bare copper or tinned they're isn't really a lot difference for this application.

For more details on wires and sleeving check the Modding FAQ under Sleeving:

17AWG is a size, please don't spread misinformation.

Ive still been debating Custom sleeving my own cables vs Corsair's aftermarket cables vs @CableMod cables.

imho reusing your old cables and just resleeving is probably marginally easier than creating all new cables from essentially scratch.

Corsair AX760 (the tricky non-'i' version) which I believe falls under your C-series (with a different 24pin cable or something like that).

Don't want to hijack @St4rkill3r's thread though.

You can use it no problem :D @ThatCoolBlueKidd

And Im doing mostly all cables from scratch I have a bit of experience in doing custom cables from my holiday job so sleeving them shouldnt be a huge deal

Right now Im waiting for the PSU to release in EU (EVGA T2 1000)
