Led strip spacer?

So I have the Cablemod rgb led widebeam strip kit and I want to set up one strip on the bottom and on the top but to do that I need to have one strip on the bottom and one on the top and something connecting them without lighting up. So can I just buy some kind of extension cable to wire them or do I need to buy a led strip and take the leds out or something?

I'm not sure if Cable Mods directly have some from their site but there are extensions like theses that are for RGB based LED's:

EDIT: I believe their it has two power leads which you can run from the controller so you can run one up top and one to the bottom.
