$800 for first one and $1000 around about them prices, some people are stupid though :o

I buy and sell used components in Raleigh, NC often. Usually it's for building a PC for someone I know or maybe I spot a really good deal and I know I can flip it. I'd like to say I know exactly how much it's worth, but there's really not a good answer.

Used components are really only worth what people are willing to pay for them. It also varies greatly depending on the area you live in. Generally I post used parts on Craigslist for like 60-70% of what I paid for it new assuming it was released in the last year. Again, this varies greatly. If someone offers you a price that doesn't make you die inside...I suggest you take it. For something like the FX-6300 and the 8350, you need to consider those parts are approaching 5 years old. Even if you bought them "new" a year ago.

You also need to consider how much it would cost someone to build a rig with similar or better specs. Parting out yields more money for sure, but if someone is willing to take 2,3, or even 4 parts off your hands at a time it's usually common to give them a bit of a deal. Rival postings on Craigslist also drive down the price. I recently negotiated a guy down from $225 for both of his 770s down to $150 simply because I drove an hour to go get them. Some people are willing to sell for low, some people are gonna lowball, and some think their stuff is worth 90% of what they paid for it.

My aim isn't to insult you, but in my area something like the first system would sell for around $500 as a whole. Granted I live in RTP in Raleigh so there are a lot of tech-savvy people around here who know what they're looking at. In other areas I wouldn't be surprised to see $800 like Matty said. The second system around here wouldn't fare much better maybe like $600 on a good day. People who list their rigs for basically what they paid for them end up leaving their posts up for months until they finally cave in or decide to part out the whole thing.

My suggestion is don't rush, try to sell each part individually. Usually someone is looking to build a PC and wants a few of your parts here and there. The hard drives likely won't sell or at least not for very much (like $10-20 depending on how big)

TLDR; Sell the parts individually, set a price you're comfortable with, don't be surprised when someone offers you pennies, play it smart and know when to cut your losses if you're motivated to sell

Well then you're golden. I got a pair of HD598s and a 4690k for $190 cash and the guy met me 2 minutes from my house. Then there's people with Phenom II machines still asking $1300 because they have a 6990 haha and they've had it listed for 3 months.
