What RAM do i get?

Hello,

i need help with choosing the best RAM under 140$ for my system

my motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-870A-USB3

500w power supply.

All suggestions are welcome

Well waht is your system for?  Idk if you need 4 8 or 16 gb of ram.  You seem like you might need help with other stuff, so why don't you let us know what your goal is.  are you building a pc from scratch?  if you are, what is it for?

Any DDR3 RAM will work, but the brand I linked is reliable.  If you have the money 16GB won't hurt, but if not then it's okay.  8GB is sorta the standard amount of RAM at the moment.

If he is building a PC and putting 140$ towards RAM he should probably get his priorities straight

Mostly Triple A games

AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1075T 3Ghz

AMD Radeon R7 240 (I'm upgrading that to a GTX 960 probably)

what ram do you have currently?  whyd o you want to upgrade your ram?

I only know that i have 3x2GB of RAM

I'm not sure if it's DDR2 or DDR3

Look.  WIth a phenom II and an r7 240(or if u decide to get a 960) ur not going to be running triple A titles very well regardless of ram.  get the cheapest stick of 8gb if you absolutely need more ram.  I would save that money if you want to play triple A titles.  Grab a g3258 and something like a 970 r9 380, etc.  ram isn't going to help you here.

i3-41x0 (x being whatever number) + R9 380 >> G3258 + R9 380 == X4 860k + R9 380 (or GTX 960, it's just the 380 is up to 15% more powerful depending on the game).
