SIM Questions

Go to solution Solved by Naeaes,

Both use nano-SIM. You should be fine. Unless either of the phones are carrier-locked, you know.

If they're both on the same network, yes. The sim sizes might be different though. You'll need a converter kit if that's the case. But if you need to make your sim smaller, I can tell you from experience that you can follow a guide on how to cut your sim card with scissors.

I put my SIM in my sisters phone and it seemed to work

@Naeaes @Arwanell @DaltonM If i am off contract on my One M9 does that mean I should be able to keep it if i get a new phone?

Yes. I believe you can always keep your old phone no matter what as long as you're paying for it, or had paid for it.

Ok. Well im off contract so im gessing that means its mine

Yep, they can't take your phone, all they can do is charge you full price if you stop paying for it. I'm still paying for my Note 4, but it's 100% mine forever.

yea

if you have the contract and decide to cancel it, you just have to pay the rest of the phone's price before you can leave them

but the phone is obviously yours 4ever

if you don't pay, they disable your calls/messages, they can't take your phone from you

You can totally do that always. Well Verizon kind of has a tight grip on their service. I know with my T-Mobile I can switch devices any time I need to.
