I'm having some weird GPU usage during Unigine Heaven benchmark.

If I put it to max settings, GPU load will be always on 100%.

But When I set on medium settings and 1920x1080 resolution (usually I use 2560x1440), I get some weird spikes in GPU usage.

I was monitoring frame times and FPS rate with afterburner ... my i7 4790 is delivering frames in times around 15ms - 30ms. But even when frame times are at 15ms, I will see GPU usage spikes and I don't know why.

There are few FPS drops here and there, not sure if that's okay. I mean i7 4790 + R9 390 nitro should deliver me constant 60 fps (vsync on) on benchmark for 1920x1080 at medium settings and no anti-aliasing. But I still get FPS drops to like 30 for about 2-3 sec and then it' up back to 60. I was monitoring RAM usage and hard faults per secound ... everything normal here. Was checking for SSD usage (I have evo 850), and load never went above 5% during benchmark.

CPU usage on 20% with normal temps.

GPU usage jumping from 100% to 0%, temperatures are okay.

I just don't get it why it's jumping up and down all the time. Not sure if that's okay ... I don't like seing my GPU going from 0% to 100% all the time, just like I don't hammer my foot on gas pedal and then releasing it and repeating that crap all the time.

Here is picture of that GPU usage:

p.s: I also tried to use other GPU usage monitor softwares, but all of them looked like this.

I'm no expert here.. Hell if you look I've asked for help on simple overclocking n such but doesn't mean I'm stupid as can be.

Just a shot in the dark.. it sounds like to me a power problem? What kinda powersupply do you have and is it old or new? etc.. I'm most likely wrong but :shrugs:

Can anyone maybe run that benchmark at 1920x1080, medium quality, no teselations and no anti-analiasing.

Just need to know if anyone else have that spikes.

I'm suing 750W PSU from chieftec ... I already heard opinion from other members that it's not the best PSU, but it have 80+ bronze certificat and should deliver 750W. My system is pulling max 350W out of the wall (including monitor, sound system, router, switch), so there shouldn't be any problem with PSU. It's like few months old.
