MoBo suggestions

Hey all,

 

I've got an FX 6300 (yeah yeah, budget build) and I want to do some Overclocking, just for shits and giggles. I was told that I don't have a good motherboard for that (Asus M5a97 LE R2.0) so I was hoping for some suggestions to upgrade.

 

Looking to spend really no more than $150 CAN but a few over can't hurt. Also, looking for longevity. Once I get my tax return I may be upgrading my whole rig over to Intel and a GTX but for now going to keep rocking the AMD.

 

**Side note, I've got a Hyper 212 EVO so I should be ok for cooling (I hope)**

I would get a little better of a cooler just to be safe. GIGABYTE GA-990FX-Gaming AM3+ AMD 990FX would work. $130 US. Is that enough or cheaper?

Coming in at 170 can, I think it's just a pinch over the top with shipping tacked on.

Here's maybe a better question really. What would I be looking for specifically in a board if I wanted to do some overclocking?
