Stock cooler... pick up a 212 and some MX-4. That'll run you about $40. I wouldn't worry about temps in the 80s but temps above 90 are no bueno.

One.

Picking up a case fan for intake on the bottom and one fan at the top for exhaust will probably help things as well. Fans are cheap $10-15.

I could save up that much in around a week, shipping can take up to 5 weeks.

Is it safe to use until then?

Clean everything and get rid of all that dust. Then clean off that thermal paste and get a 212 evo then get another case fan.

The heatsink hasn't been properly cleaned in around 3 years.

How do I undust?

You put the heatsink back on and when the case is unplugged blow everything out with an air compressor. You can use a can of compressed air if you don't have access to an air compressor. ALWAYS hold the fans when you blow out dust around your fans. It's really bad on fan bearings to make them free spin from being shot with air.

I always take mine outside into the garage and sit it in a chair then go to town blowing it out.

nah but it happens after 3 years of non cleaning. You should undust your PC once in year and re apply paste atleast once in 2 yearrs.

LOL, yeah dude, give the whole PC a good cleaning before you go out and buy new stuff. If you still don't get good temps go buy that 212 and MX-4 like I mentioned.

Here you can do simple thing just a little wet tissue or smth like that and clean it up because you can let wings dry . rest the compressed air is must have or air compressor dependly on what you got.
