Will it increase performance?

Im thinking about getting a new mobo and Cooler for my athlon 860k 

It is paired with a R9 380 4gb atm

 

I would like to know would there be a large/noticeable fps boost or performance increase in games?

Question: If you switch your resolution is games, and detail settings does the FPS stay around the same?

It's not likely to.

(If yes, then your graphic card is probably being bottlenecked by the cpu where an overclock would help for fps improvement but if not, there won't really be any difference)

Nothing noticeable, no. Get a new CPU while you are at it, that is your bottleneck.

Motherboards and coolers are not going to give you any better performance.

 

What they will give you is potentially better overclocking results, which will increase performance in some games.

Lol until it throttles (AMD will choose death instead) it will give you no more performance. Motherboards doesn't matter at all.

There is about a 30fps increase if I put csgo to 800x600

If your fps increases as you lower settings, then your cpu is not bottlenecking

Although I would still swap out the cooler if your using the stock cooler, it's quite loud and annoying to be honest for AMD and intel alike

So Will there be a slight performance increase if I OC, I was thinking about getting a new mobo and cooler, But if that is pointless I shall just go with a mouse or mic

Not noticeable unless the game is CPU intensive.

 For example Planetside 2 if your in a major battle

OC'ing CPU's give marginal improvement in performance. 

 

If you want real gains you'll need to upgrade. 

 

But that isn't a terrible set-up (I would see how much OC you can get on the current set-up (assuming you can OC)).
