Sapphire 7950 vs Asus R9 270

Gix7Fifty

So after upgrading my steam box to a GTX 970 I was going to put my 7950 into my B52 build (FX 8320, R9 270) and sell the R9 270. Only problem is that one of the fans in the 7950 is rattling really loud. I found replacement fans on ebay for $20 but I may just sell it and stick with the R9 270 since it is still under warranty. What do you think keep/fix the 7950 or keep the R9 270?

Anyways here are some of the benchmarks

R9 270 will have better optimization for the future....also, would recommend upgrading to windows 10...there's significant performance increases

Try some DIY fix for the fan. 7950 is miles better than the 270 and 3GB VRAM will definitely help.

all good. Maybe make sure that you are on dx12 drivers? Or make sure that valley is updated completely?

Valley and Heaven haven't been updated in years. It's no surprise that it thinks Windows 10 is just a newer version of Windows 8.

270 is a rebadge of 7870, great card with great overclocking potential but still no where near 7950 potential.
