can you refund a game you get card drops for

if i buy a game play till i get a few card drops but keep it under 2 hours can i get a refund then sell the cards? or will the cards get taken away?

 

or can i sell the cards and then get a refund?

really? i've gotten a drop bit trip after 20 min of playing. and it was a foil

 

and that was on my first time playing about 2 weeks ago (it had 0 hours)

They changed it after adding refunds, but it might be so that they start to drop after 2 hours or owning the game for 2 weeks.

If you're 2 weeks in then I think Steam's refund period may have expired. I've only refunded one game and if I remember correctly it was like 2 hours of play or 48 hours after purchase, whichever comes first. 

 

Can't remember the exact length but I think either way you're not getting a refund. I could be wrong but I guess the only way to find out is to try...

its under 2 hours of play time and less than 2 weeks since you bought it

well ive only had the game like 8 days but bit trip is not what i wanted to refund

Well I guess you could try it on a cheaper game that drops cards. I'd be interested to see what happens. 

Wouldn't be surprised if they have something in place to keep people farming for cards and then refunding the games. 

I would imagine an actual human reviews the refunds to make sure there's nothing fishy going on since the process usually takes a day or so.

It really depends. I got a card drop from Borderlands 2 within 30 minutes of playing it, but I had played a free weekend of it before, and I was still able to refund it.

the last refund i did took about 20 min, maybe it was just a slow day fro refunds

Possibly. The only one I did was for Project Cars because it ran like poo. 

I submitted it right before I went to bed and it didn't go through until I got home from work the next day.
