Air cooler suggestions?

Hey!

Looking for suggestions on cpu coolers that cost under $100 AUD.

I'm going to be running an i5-6600K :^)

NH-D15 got my for 100 AUD but i just check now it around 110 dollar mark, is best air cooler you can get.

Tried updating my build on au.pcpartpicker but the D15 never showed up :?
It showed up when I searched it earlier though

make sure your case fits the d15, its a huge cooler, the largest i think

I'm getting the Corsair SPEC-02
Mid-Tower

Not sure if it fits .3.

Consider the other Noctua 140mm series coolers. The D15 is top of the line yes but its also big and more than what you need.

Personally it worth the investment if fit the case. If you want best of best air cooler NH-D15 is one to get, other 140mm is around 100 dollars mark but the if you not able to fork up 15 dollars this is another option (https://www.pccasegear.com/products/29593/cryorig-r1-ultimate-cpu-cooler) perform the same but a bit louder.

D'you know what Mid Towers fit the D15? I don't need anything too expensive and I found the Deepcool Tesseract at $55 AUD

Maximum CPU Cooler Height: 157mm

Noctua NH-D15:

Height (with fan): 165 mm

 

so no it wont fit, unless u change a case

The Deepcool Tesseract SW has a cpu cooler height restriction of 165mm, and it's cheaper than the SPEC-02

I'm guessing having it JUST on the mark is okay?

i wouldnt bet on it...
even if it DOES fit, having your heatsink scratching the side panel (if you have any) is a bad idea
not to mention it might make a ton of noise by transfering the vibration to the side panel if it touches

Any suggestions then?
all I need is a mid-tower that can fit 165mm + it has to be under $100 aud

there so many case to pick from... i dont know...

so ill just recommend a cpu cooler that's atleast better than the L9i...
