Hangouts notifications

I recently got a Sony xperia z5 compact (yes, the phone linus uses) and im useing hangouts as my primary messaging app. I was wondering if there's a way to have a notification bubble on the app icon like on skype, and the default messaging app that shows the number of notifications from the app.

I ilke trains.
