Which route to go on a second monitor ?

big_dane

Hey guys, I need some advice. Right now I have a AOC i2369vm and I am looking for a second monitor, so I can do my CAD modeling on one and watch tutorials on the other one. I really want the second one to be 1440p, but I am not sure how it would make the 1080p AOC look. The 1440p panels I'm looking at are Dell U2715H and BenQ BL3200PT. I like the U2715H, because at a later date I could buy a second one and it would not be bizarre, my dad also has one and it looks pretty darn good. On the other hand I like the BL3200PT, because it is bigger so the pixel density would be closer to that of the AOC and also it is bigger, so I can use it to watch movies on it, so there would be no need for me to buy a TV for my dorm. I do the occasional gaming, but nothing too serious. Have you guys have any experience with these monitors or with 1080p side by side with 1440p ?

P.S. I have a R9 290, so it would not be much of a problem to run the monitors.

What if you made the 1440 the main and the 1080 the secondary? Unless the 1080 has special features then you can ignore me

make the 1440p the main monitor and have the 1080p to be secondary monitor. That's how I would do it,.

I wouldn't really do it any other way, but I still tought there would be an obvious difference.
