I'm looking for a 500 USD dollar gaming build with just the tower only. Located in US, would prefer Amazon only, but a mix would be fine too if I could significantly save money. I'm looking for a PC that can run CS:GO, and overwatch. Only looking to run 1 monitor.

Thanks :)

It's a dual core four thread CPU. Games don't recognize it as a dual core so that is a non-issue. Plus it performs WAY better than any other CPU at or around that price point.

so would it be more reasonable to go towards an i3 for a better upgrade path (if going amd i would have to buy a new mobo). how about @Jacktastic-Mofo's build. would you add anything?

You could get a less expensive case and it would be the same cost :P

yo true :P

However I'd go for a much lower end case and get a better PSU to balance things out.

was looking at the spec-01. and what psu?

I LOVED BUILDING IN THE SPEC-01.

And really the 500B isn't a bad PSU by any means but ideally I'd get a EVGA NEX or G2, pretty much anything by Seasonic or an Antec High Current Gamer.

hopefully it's easier than building in my 300r.

i have an antec high current gamer in my current build. one of my favorite. although the cables get stiff. might just get one

I built a dual GPU system in there and Cable Managing was easy peasy.

I actually ended up selling the dual GPU's (270x's) to the guy with the world record for 8.495Ghz on a FX-8350 so it was a good day.
