Moving an old HDD into a new PC

Hi there!

So I have an old(ish) PC that I no longer use due to building a new one, only around 3 months old. I was just quickly wondering if moving that old HDD into my new build would cause me any issues as far as having 2 versions of Windows in one PC if that makes sense? I plan on wiping said HDD clean, so as long as I can boot up with no issues that's all I need, unfortunately I was unsure how to word this on Google to get any useful information.

Thank you for any help in advance! :)

You can put in in the new computer and also still have Windows on it. Just make sure you set the right boot order in your bios so you boot into the right operating system.

no, you should be fine. Go ahead and pop in the HDD from the old system to the new one and wipe it. Then you will be good to go.

Thank you both for the replies, I appreciate it :)
