Game audio help

I am planning on buying new gear for my gaming setup and have a couple questions before I purchase everything and am all confused when I try to set it up. So i am planning on buying:

Headphones: sennheiser hd598
Mic: Audio Technica At2020 xlr version

Those two things are the only things i am for sure I know i am buying but the rest is where i am not sure on. I was planning on getting the schiit stack (magni2 and modi2) to help get clean audio for the headphones unlike what i have now. I am wondering do I need both because someone told me I just need the Dac part. Also how would I connect them to the PC will I just plug them into the PC and not the mixer or should I connect it to the mixer as well? I know i need a mixer and i was going to get the Behringer XENYX502 or the Behringer Xenyx 802 Premium 8-Input 2-Bus Mixer. I want to be able to play music through the mixer into the computer but i am not sure if i am able to with the 502. If I am then I was going to get the 502 but if i can't then i was going to get the 802.

any help would be appreciated.

I had the xenyx502 and I STRONG TO NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR PC AUDIO USE.  you can't get live feedback because of the way the buttons are setup.  YOu can either hear yourself, but have your mic pickup ur pc sounds or have no live feedback.  Get the alesis multimix 4 USB, very easy setup.  You don't need all that fancy audio stuff, just plug ur mic into ur mixer, and ur heapdhones into ur mixer and then plug the mixer into the PC.  you won't notice a difference with ur schiit stack

HD 558 is cheaper and sounds about the same, and can be easily modded to sound exactly the same.

 

Schiit stack is unnecessary for these headphones. Whoever told you that you only needed the DAC is an idiot; a DAC cannot drive a load, for that you need an amplifier. The good news is that, again, the HD5x8 headphones are sensitive enough that you probably won't need an amp, regardless of your motherboard. If you do find that you need an amp, something like a Fiio E10K would be more appropriate.
