I looked at your build and i think there is two thing you need to change. You are going to buy Z170 chip set but a non - K series CPU, try to understand what i am saying, it's OK if your buddy is not going to O.C now or your buddy don't know how to O.C, but maybe in future your buddy may want to O.C because He or She is not going to throw away this computer in a year. GTX 970 shows that He/She is a gamer and has a gaming mind. That means if not now , but may be in future He/She is definitely going to O.C. That's why i replaced SSD with 6600K because it is easy to add an $60 SSD 1 or 2 month's later but it is hard to replace your old CPU with new $250 CPU ( both in terms of cost and work ). Another thing if she/ he is an NVDIA fan than it's okay but R9 390 performs little better than GTX 970. So' I replaced GTX 970 with R9 390. Al tough 500w is okay but i don't like to live on edge, because it is hard to replace component like this , so i would like to pay extra $5 on PSU and i will go with crosair 80+ bronze 600w. ( off topic : are you an One Piece fan ? )

that is why I gave him a part that will allow it also look at the budget. the reason it isnt an i5 6600k is because of the price and because in the future he can sell the cpu for a k series cpu

Why did he need to sell his CPU later , he can just add a new SSD after 1 or 2 months that more convenient. After an year he will look for an right person , who is ready to buy an old CPU and then need to replace it with new CPU, and He/ She can't even expect that he will get refund of 70% no body will buy and old $200 CPU with $140. If she/He is lucky than she/he will get 50 to 60% back. But if he/she wait for 1 or 2 months than He / She can easily add an SSD even better SSD than this. If he/she is in very  very tight budget than it's ok but  dropping an idea of K just for an SSD is not good. Adding SSD is very easy but replacing CPU is very hard. SSD only increase read and write speed not increase gaming performance. At last i don't want to argue , do just what you like but i can tell you that He/She going to have hard time in selling a CPU. Same thing happen 1 year back when my friend dropped his idea to buy  i5 4690k ( Rs 19,000) for an SSD ( 250Gb at Rs 3,500) and buy an i5 4440 ( Rs 15,000), and after searching for 4 months for a buyer he was able to sell it at Rs 8,500 after that he added Rs10,000 for a new CPU, i also advise him wait for 3 months and you will be able buy better SSD ( 500gb at Rs 4200) than your current one. Now do what ever you want.

Either way I have my reasons for giving him the parts listed. I really can't understand what you are saying due to your improper grammar.
