overclock Overclocking 3570k

I had my cpu overclocked to 4.4 ghz when I first bought my cpu 3 years ago, now my cpu will not overclock at all. When I up the clock speed or touch the voltage, within a few minutes I blue screen.... Anybody got any ideas? I'll be able to test them this weekend. Do cpu's just not want to overclock over time? My computer is very stable without touching my cpu.

 

Specs/ect.

• windows 10 64bit
• 128 gb kingston ssd, 2tb wd hd
• 16 gb 1600 g skill ram
• gigabyte windforce gtx 970 Overclocked
• corsair 750 power supply
• asus mobo
• Aftermarket cooler master evo cooler
• and of course a i5 3570k

Did you change anything in your system recently?

Also, what voltage did you have it at?

No changes in my system, well I just did a fresh install of windows 10. For the voltage, its been awhile I don't remember. When the weekend comes i'll be testing that for you. It was safe under what others used for their 3570k overclock.
