Hi, I'm planning on doing my first pc build on a low budget. One of the things I wanna do with this build is trying to use the maximum of the components that I have available. This would include:

  • Athlon II x4 2.4 GHz (cpu)
  • Gigabyte 870A-UD3 (AM3 mobo)
  • 4GB DDR3 RAM 800 MHz
  • NZXT Hades (case)
  • Western Digital Caviar Blue 320GB 7200 RPM (hdd)

My first try was this: http://es.pcpartpicker.com/p/Rtnszy

I honestly think that this build works great and leads to a great path of upgradability. Sadly, here in Spain, this build would go over 650€ with a Tacens Radix VII AG 600W 80 Plus Silver (49.95€) and it's a bit over my budget. An upgrade to Intel's 6th generation would my prefered choice with all the nice things the z170 would come with (DDR4, M.2, etc), but I'm thinking of using the AMD cpu and mobo listed above instead to decrease the cost without having to get a lower end GPU for it.

Then it would end like this: http://es.pcpartpicker.com/p/3Cj8Lk with the 4GB of RAM at 800MHz (if it works) and the Tacens PSU for 347€.

But my biggest concern are bottlenecks and this sure looks like one. Mind lending me a hand? Any help is greatly welcomed.

PS: first post and english isn't my first language so don't kill me for any typos please.

PS2: budget is around 550€.

Edit1: forgot DDR3 for my RAM.

Edit: PS2 for clarity.

You can build a WAY better system without a GPU for that price that will last you years. I believe you should focus on getting a good GPU and MOBO first, so you only ever have to upgrade your GPU.

Also don't make an AMD build.

Here's my build, your budget is 650, in my US Dollars that's 770.

This build doesn't come with a case, and you should add 8gb of ram if you want to multitask while gaming.

The GPU isn't the most high end, but it's cheap you can upgrade later because all you'll need to replace is the GPU.

Prices going to be different when hr checks them in his area.

Is the RAM that my 6-7 year old pc came with.

There's nothing on AM3 socket that's good for modern gaming. I have an old AM3 full system I was looking to upgrade, and it's simply not worth it. I know from personal searcher.

Well, buying that from amazon(dot)es would be 615€ without the CPU cooler, SSD and GPU. Currency conversion sucks here and that's why I'm struggling with most recent guides because they're based on US$.

Edit: typo.

Is amazon the only place you can purchase from?

No, the one I'm planning on buying from it would be around 770€, even though I had to change some things cause PNY SSDs and ASRock mobos aren't sold around here (Unless I buy the mobo from amazon(dot)es - 123€).

768,70 € with taxes, the prices above are without taxes.

Edit: forgot img.

It's a good build, but keep in mind the GPU is much lower than the rest of the system. It's kind of a place holder. I recommend something at the 970 level to match the rest of the build, but it's designed so you only need to upgrade your GPU.

Yes, certainly looks like a great build but it's actually over my budget and I would have to sacrifice some things from that build. I think I haven't clarified what my budget is but it would be around 550€.
