650D re/build log

legodude

Hello!

Decided to cut away the horrible mesh and thought it would be a nice idea to do a complete rebuild and tidy with a few very simple mods to my system.

Bye mesh!

DSC00265.jpg

Blacking out everything on the back, I always think it makes a massive difference and is very easy to do.

DSC00269.jpg

I know I lot of people like the gold on the back, but I thought it looked a little tacky, I think this looks much smarter.

I'd like to have the writing/strips on my GPU a gloss black, I really like the matt/gloss black combo. and possibly the fans but I'd rather not try spraying them.

Reminds me of a 690 III in the front due to that 200mm fan mount :P

Corsair fans. I think the grills

Dusted and cleaned, I'd love to paint everything blue matte black like a system on build of the week on the WAN show a few weeks ago, but I have no money to replace the mobo if I make a mess!

Everything black!

You ruined that ASUS card IMO. Looks bland now, sorry.

I disagree, the gold didn't look very good at all, it looked like it was painted on and was very falt and dull, nothing like the shiny pictures I've seen. also I have very easily remove the paint! ;)

I wish it was a lovely shiny real gold look, then I would have never painted it! :)

Cooler and fans in push/pull fans installed, I tried mounting one fan on the outside of the case as it frees up a little more space inside the case also I would like to add a h80i sometime soon.

Oh good! I like the rest of the paint work it's just i think it looked boring without any accents. Paint the accents blue, it will stand out more ;)

Rear of the case, I'd like to get some sort of external to internal adapter for the USB 3, the white cable you can see if for RGB led lighting.

That horrible black/red/yellow cable has been moved, DON'T WORRY!

I definitely like the colour scheme a few minor modifications can make so much difference, the red LED kinda ruins it though, definitely looks better with the white.

I normally keep the white myself but it's nice to add colour to the room once in a while, or red when I'm building silent hunter!

Very nice build. Only thing I don't like is the Corsair CPU cooler. A H100i would look much better but yeah money is a factor :P

Lovely build man!

Lol I've seen a lot of people replace their 560ti's with 770's (myself included). Its strange considering how they're two different tiers, I guess once the rig building bugs got you...
