$1200CAD Gaming Build

So I'm building a gaming rig for my friend and the parts should be here tomorrow or the next day. Here's the parts list below. I will be posting pictures as I'm building and then the finished product!

 

CPU: AMD FX-6300

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

Motherboard: MSI 970 Gaming

RAM: G.Shill Ripjaws X 8GB (2x4GB)

GPU: MSI GTX 970

SSD: A-Data SP550 120GB

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB

PSU: Thermaltake SMART 750W

Case: Corsair 750D

Never get AMD Cpus, for now at least, unless its casual gaming and easy to run applications. Even Intel I3's, can outbeat those, sometimes. Well, i meant the highest end AMD cpus, can be beaten by Intel I3's. That one, even a 3rd gen I3 probably :p.

oh haha, I figured that after I posted my comment. The choice of parts was not mine. It was my friends... He had around a $1400CAD budget and insisted he go with AMD and he's a Thermaltake fan...
