Hello everyone,

Bit of a strange topic for my first post, but I am trying to find a relatively inexpensive horizontal laying case. I was looking at a Zalman HD135s, but it doesn't seem tall enough to fit my GPU (MSI Radeon R9 380)

Was just wondering if anyone would have any suggestions at all? Thanks in advance.

I think you are confusing expansion bays with expansion slots for the motherboard. Judging from the dimensions and pictures available, it fits a standard PCI/PCI-E card. Its the ultra slim cases that wont support a full size graphics, but the Grandia and the Fractal Node 605 cases should support a full size graphics card.

The Grandia case is one I've been looking at for about 6 months and there are videos on youtube showing people stuffing their Grandia cases with full sized GPUs.

Grandia GD09 case running a GTX 980, they dont get much bigger.

From recollection, the GD04/05 is the smallest that you'll want to consider (mATX). The optical drive forces you to use a really low profile cooler, and you'd need to check GPU compatibility to be 100% certain it'll fit. From the builds I've seen it's a great box for a solid HTPC that you can game on, but maybe not as a dedicated gaming box. The GD09 is possibly a better starting, as per Sovek's post.
