AMD Phenom

Hello to everyone. I bought a used AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition with a ASrock 960GM - VGS3 FX motherboard and i want to know if it's ok to run it with all 4 cores unlocked. I have been runing it for 1 month and it seems to work very good. Will I have problems with it unlocked? Thank You

Try it, just depends on the power delivery of the board. It might crash, it might light on fire, although those two are very unlikely.

Depends on the chip too, maybe the other 2 cores are really damaged and thats why they are disabled, but I think is worth trying.

If it's been running fine with cores unlocked for over a month you are fine

In one month it didn't crashed once and I had no issues with it.

Did you tested it with some games or testing softwares?

Just running OS and light aplications sometimes is not enough to crash.

Congratulations, you have a quad-core Phenom II

Tested it with Cinebench R15, Aida 64 stress test for 1 hour, and games like Euro Truck Simulator 2 almost max , Crysis mid, and some older games maxed out, no problem.
