I am planning on upgrading my system to be liquid cooled in the near future and was wondering if the hardware I have will support it, as well as keep everything cool enough.

The case I am using is a Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Military Green Steel ATX Mid Tower case, and MSI motherboard (can't recall the exact model; might swap this out), Intel Core i7 4960X CPU (might upgrade), EVGA GForce 980ti (might get a second one for SLI), 16 GB of ram, I think I have an 800 watt hydra power supply installed (will be swapping that for a modular power supply), an SSD for my boot sector and a normal HDD for files. I am aiming to have a yellow/green theme for the build. This build is for gaming and would like to have it run cooler and as quite as I can get. Any tips and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

4960x.. U mean K? And the cpu is already bottlenecking the 980ti so one more 980ti is useless.. EK-wb och bitspower is the two manufacturers that are the best (what I think)

*Hex gear R40 black *Asus z97-i plus *Intel i7 4770k *16gb Hyper beast RAM *Asus GTX 970 strix *EVGA G2 750W *Samsung EVO850 500GB *Samsung EVO850 500GB *Asus MX299Q *Audioengine d1 *Beyerdynamic dt 990 *Blue Yeti Blackout edition *Ducky Shine 5 RGB *Ducky Secret * Ducky mousemat *Custom loop

So would it be better to get a better CPU before I go any further with my upgrade?

well it depends, in 1080p the 980ti is nearly too good.. it works best in 1440p or higher. if u want the cpu to be in the same grade as the gpu i would rekomend 5820k, 5930k or the 5060x :) the 4690k is a mid end cpu and the 980ti is a high end gpu :) thats why the cpu is a bottleneck. dont get me wrong, its still a beast and the 4690k is a very good i5 cpu :)

He's got a 4960X, completely different beast. The performance gains he'd see from switching to a 5820K would be minimal.

Lol glad to see that confusion got cleared up.

1: Your hardware is perfectly fine for watercooling.

2: What are you planning to do with this PC? Gaming? Rendering? What else?

3:How much are you planning on spending on the Liquid Cooler?

4: Are you planning on doing any overclocking? How much overclocking?
