Every now and again I can see my GPU usage drop while folding. This wouldn't be quite so annoying if I didn't hear my fans slow down then ramp back up.
It's not a huge deal. Just want to know if this is me doing something wrong, or if the program is working as intended. It happens fairly regularly.

You could use fan control to set a permanent level.

I did not think of that. I like adaptive fans, but I suppose I could just set up profiles in Afterburner. Or set temperature hysteresis to something a bit longer than 5000ms.

well, it's tricky to see the time interval there .. And as far as i can
tell that is just a temperature graph. You will see momentary drops

to pretty much no usage during the checkpoints.

I don't think that would be enough to reduce temperature by 8 *C,

most likely you need to adjust your fan curve. But, you could try

increasing the checkpoint interval and see what happens. Although

i am pretty sure that isn't the issue.
