Digital or DSLR camera under 170$

Hi guys, what is the best camera that I can get under 170$? with a decent zoom. I'm asking about used ones from ebay. also can I get a nice DSLR camera for that price point? I say USED. Just give me your advises, thoughts about used cameras from ebay

well in terms of that price, I got a Cannon Powershot SX30 IS that should be around that price range - atm anyway...

 

it's small, handy, of course not the best, but for just random shots, simple macros and that zoom for the price... yea i'd recommend try to find that

You might find a Nikon D40, D40x or D60 together with the 18-55mm kit zoom for that money ...

If you want to learn photography, buy a used DSLR in that pricerange. Often, on eBay you can find whole kits with CF cards or additional batteries.

 

You won't find any decent camera in the shops for that kind of money. You have to buy SD cards or other accessories almost every time.

 

If you really want to learn photography, go analog and shoot film for some time.

The 6MP of the D40 are enough

Well if you can find one for the money, they aren't bad cameras either. Though they were the first instance of NEX cameras in their repsective lines and there have been huge improvments over the years.

Canon 350D onwards. Whatever you get for the money. 10MP is plenty. You only need more if you want to print large formats.
