I have had my Asus Gladius (3988 sensor) for almost 2 years now but recently i have been having some weird issues. Im running the latest version of the ROG Armoury 1.27 and 1.29 firmware.

I have tried using the manual calibration on  the mousepad and used the cloth preset but nothing seems to work. The mousepad im using is a Xtrfy XGP1-L4, its alittle dirty but nothing major. Its a very smooth cloth but i havent had any tracking issues with my brothers Corsair M45 (3310 sensor).

Screenshot of mousepad: https://gyazo.com/552928392f5d4dea90d0110b775e24cb

It will work perfectly for a few months, then for 1 day it will act weird.

I recorded this awhile back but didnt think much about it because it was fixed the next day, now a few months later it happened again but today its gone.

Is there a way of fixing it? Should i RMA it?

Check if you have something on your sensor. Try a different surface or mousepad. If not, it's probably a bit screwed up. Maybe there's some macro button that you dont know about (it's happened to me a few times cause im a derp :P). You could also be hitting some button that changes the dpi temporarily or something like that.

Its not a macro since there are no extra beyond standard buttons on the mouse and the DPI button requires a bit of force to activate so its not that either.

There seems to be some dust  particles around the sensor area but i havent cleaned it since yesterday (when i had this issue) but its working flawlessly today.

I feel like a bit of dust wouldnt really be the problem. If another mouse works then it's probably just screwed. Also, just quickly, does that still happen in other games on when you're browsing or something?
