AT&T Static IP Problem

So basically I have AT&T and they assign static IPs to all modems which is very annoying when it comes to DDoS. 

My question is, if I buy a third party modem, will I get assigned a new IP range, and hopefully a dynamic IP?

How often are you getting a DDOS attack? I think your main problem is stop getting your home network DDOS'ed (i.e. use a VPN or finding out what you are doing to attract them).

The little boi has my IP, and its regularly. VPN won't stop it since it's from only one person

AT&T is also refusing to assign me a new IP unless I order a new modem from them since they're topkek memesters

Then go ahead and order a new modem if that's all it takes. Once you get your new modem setup a VPN immediately.

That doesn't answer my question, I would have already ordered a new modem if I just wanted a new Ip address.

 

I'm looking for a dynamic IP, not a static one. Which ATT is refusing to set me up with one claiming I already have a dynamic IP.

If they assign a static IP like you are saying then there's no way for you to change that unless you work for them. If you have a dynamic IP like they are saying then unplug your modem for a few hours/days and when you plug it back in you should get a new IP address.

No. He hosted a server tho. Logged in and he got the IP

Do you have the server IP? He most likely is hosting it himself.

I have access to a 12k botnet. I don't want to hit off his server, I want to be able to log on to my own net and work on school dammit

You'll get a new ip, but not a dynamic one.
