Hi there, currently whilst watching stuff my girlfriends laptop got hit by a number of viruses, not sure how they got on there but they only just triggered very recently, tried AVG Free, Malware bytes, and superantispyware, however none of these work currently, Spyhunter 4 is amazing and detects the malware and adware that the rest don't, but it's a steep cost to remove the viruses.
Is their any free alternative to this, or any way to remove them?

None of the programs above have detected these except Spyhunter 4, but as said the cost is high, malwarebytes detects them trying to open ads on the browser, but doesn't detect the root cause of this, any help?
Thanks guys.

remove all the antivirus/antimalware software and install avast. The reason why I'm suggesting it is because it has a "scan on boot" feature that allows the HDD and memory scan before the OS is loaded. many viri (yes viri, "viruses" may be acceptable as a word but since "virus" is latin "viri" is the plural...I'm a bit of a grammar nazi!) are memory resident, resulting to be a pain in the @$$ to be removed. Avast (even the free edition has the feature stated above) has "saved" many @$$es in the past and we are talking about critical business data. Try that and let us know.
