PSU Recommendations

I have an Antec VP - 450, what is the best GPU I can get that will fit in my wattage? Would the r9 380 be pushing it?

450W is enough to run a R9 380, but I wouldn't run a R9 380 on that PSU.

The max I would run on that PSU would be a 750ti.

A R9 380 will work with that PSU, but I wouldn't recommended it.

I'd recommended upgrading your PSU to a http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-210gq0650.

I only built the system yesterday without a GPU and I am looking into what GPUs i could get.

get the gpu that you want and if the PSU will not make it, just upgrade that sucker too! 

a decent psu doesnt have to cost much, there are some really affordable corsair models on the market that will work just fine.

 

i got a 550 watt psu with an fx8150 and a gtx970 hooked up in the system and its not pulling over 400 watts off the wall so you should still be pretty fine with the psu you have'!

GTX 960, wouldn't go much above that.

Wattage isn't the concern here. The lower quality of the VP450 is the issue here.

Yeah, the XFX is a better Seasonic unit and it would've been recommended over the Antec.
