Corrupt windows?

I was playing rainbow six siege when sound cut out and said USB device not detected. I have also been getting a frozen computer, forcing me to force shut down the computer and a flashing screen every now and again. Are these signs of a corrupt install? if not what are some tell-tale signs of a corrupt install? Also if it is, how do I fix a Windows 10 install?

Do you have a sound card by any chance? Through what interface is your audio connected to your computer?

 

From what you've said, it seems that a corrupt install could be possible, but there's got to be a reason for the corrupt install. If you want to fix it permanently, wipe everything and do a fresh install of Windows.

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.
