Used vs New

Hi, a few days ago i was about to get the r9 380, at $465. then i came across a used r9 280x at $286, and new, it is $550. i know its used, but its in my town so i can check out the card.

286 dollars? sweet jesus, but yeah, you should get if the R9 380 is 465

if it looks good, then go for it. Just make sure to go check it out for yourself, and make sure the ad says nothing about bitcoin mining (if it says they didn't mine bitcoins, it means they did)

There isnt a significant difference between the the 2 to merit that large gap in price.

I know this because I sold gpus, and I felt very inclined to say they haven't been overclocked, when they damn well have...

he doesn't mention bitcoin mining, only that it has 4 months of use, in the photos it didn't look dusty, and... i live in argentina, bitcoin mining? is that football? haha

Well, where I live I can get a GTX 980 Ti reference for about 700€ and an original Titan for 600€. Both have 6GB GDDR5 memory and 386-Bit memory interface. Is the used Titan worth it? ;)

it seems kinda weird to be ''that cheap'' but i asked the guy and he seems nice, he says in a few days he'll call me back  so i can check out the card, i mentioned if i can test it and he said yeah no problem,

No, the GTX 980 Ti is way better, just for double precision calculations the Titan would be better.
