Hey guys! I am doing a new build soon and while I have decided on most of my parts, I have yet to fully decide on a case yet. So I was curious to what you guys would recommend or if you had any input!

I am buying all my parts at my local Fry's/Microcenter. One case I've particularly took to a liking there was the Corsair 760T.

My parts will most likely include:

- 6700k

- 980 Ti Hybrid (May sli in the future)

- Asus Hero Board

- 280mm CPU AIO Cooler

So I guess you could say those are the main parts. Of course I want plenty of room in my case for clean cable setup, good airflow, etc..

Ideally would want:

- Big window

- Good airflow

- Good amount of space

- No white cases

- Some sort of design, other than just a plain looking plastic case for example.

- Good looking case obviously ;)

- Possibly place to hide HDD's as well, but not at the top of the list

So if you guys had any input on the 760T or an other recommendations, I'd love to hear it! Thanks in advance!

Corsair Clear 600C. :)

However if you don't like upside down computers this may not the optimal.

I love the 760T

But I see Asus boards as being of low value and dont see much point in getting the hybrid 980ti. Recommendation for the 280mm AIO would be the x61

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

I would switch out the Maximus VIII hero with a Z170-A. Most of the ROG boards are overpriced for this one little feature that won't even affect performance.

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X | ASUS TUF GAMING X570-PRO | G.Skill Ripjaws V 2x16GB @3600MHz CL16 | AMD Radeon 6800 XT Cooler Master MasterCase Pro 5 w/ Tempered Glass | Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB + ADATA SU800 2TB | Corsair HX1000iNoctua NH-D15 chromax.black

waht is your budget for the case??

I would maybe say around $160ish? Total budget is around $3k, and I'm most likely also getting the PG279Q.

One of my favorite looking cases is the Corsair 450D. It's a very good value, large window, great airflow, and has a great amount of space. Or you could get the 750D, which is the 450's bigger brother.

I did see that one actually! Forgot about it until you said, I may consider that one again.

Very interesting, but not sure if that's the one for me haha :)

Hmm..I would have never thought they were of low value, is there something else you would recommend? I was interested in the Hybrid because I'd love to have the lower temps and I didn't think there was too much of a price difference for the benefit of the temps.

As far as the 280mm coolers, the x61 is one I have been looking at, along with another. I will have to add a vote to the x61 side though!

My issue with the hybrid is noise

watercooling means pump noise and you have that annoying small fan

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

I could see where you're coming from, though I've heard the Hybrid could give 10C+ cooler temps than the others. If I did get a different card from the hybrid, not even sure what I'd get, though I'll look into it still. I would have thought noise wise though, it'd be quiter than a card with 2-3 fans.

The hybrid does have 2 fans.. and a pump... and one of the fans spins at very high RPMs..

I would get a FTW+

Unless you plan on overclocking heavily and you win the silicon lottery the 10c difference wont help that much

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

a common misconception about water cooling is that it is silent. it is not and dependent on the quality of the pump can be noisy. your temps in general even on cheaper water cooling will be slightly to wildly better for higher end eq. your choice of cases will also impact noise. higher end cases tend to conceal noise better and vibrate less. i love the 780t but it is pricey. and the bitfenix bfc cls 500
