This was only tested on the ASRock G41C-GS motherboard and a Core 2 Duo E8500 CPU. This is assuming you went beyond FSB.

You overclocked. Black screen, nothing booting. Let me restart, nothing again. How do you undo this?? Very simple. Here's what you need to do if you don't want to do the other options :

1. After turning it off, turn it on.

2. Turn it off.

3. Repeat 1 and 2 until after you turn it on it turns off (go to step 4)

4. You should have booted. It is now at stock speed. It will show a message that it has failed other times to boot. Nothing is changed, only the CPU settings.

Yes i'm serious. Turning it on and off will restore it. Seriously. If you wanna see how this is true, i can show you a video.

Here's another option:

1. Shutdown the computer

2. Pull the CMOS battery out, and put it back in after like 10 seconds

3. Turn on the computer

4. Set the date and time

5. Done

This way you're also making a reset on all of the options! So if you enabled hyperthreading and default was disabled, then it's gonna be disabled.

And the third and last option:

1. Push the reset button on the motherboard

2. You're done.
