So I was having a discussion with @Runefox about diagnostic tools and we were trying to figure out the best way to diagnose issues with POST.  Some mobos have built in segmented displays that will read out POST issues.  You can also get cards that read out POST codes but almost all of those seem to be for ISA or PCI.  We found some that were PCI and MiniPCI-E but not PCI-E itself.  Obviously a cheap PC speaker is universal, every mobo doe Beep Codes and every mobo has a header for it.  But what other options are there for diagnosing issues when trying to get modern mobos to POST?  Maybe something for the serial header?
