DirectX 12 on current GPU's.

Hello, I'm currently in the market looking for a new GPU for myself and I have set my eyes on R9 390 but I am a little confused about this whole directx 12 thing.

1. As far as I know, all current modern GPU's will support directx 12_0 but only nvidia's 900 series will support directx 12_1, is that true?

2. Do we already have information about what features will directx 12_1 offer compared to directx 12_0, will it be a game changer?
