Looking for some opinions!

I'm assuming this is the correct section for posting this. I am building a new PC this month. It is my second build, but my first gaming focused build. My goal is to have a decent mid range build. 

Here are the parts I have picked out so far: 

Intel Core i5-3570 Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 77W

MSI Z77A-G45 Gaming LGA 1155 Intel Z77

MSI Gaming N760 TF 2GD5/OC GeForce GTX 760 

NZXT Phantom 410 Series Case

Mushkin Enhanced Chronos MKNSSDCR120GB 2.5" 120GB SSD

WD 1TB HDD

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600

CORSAIR CX600M 600W Modular PSU

I would love to hear what you guys this or if there is anything you would suggest over the above components in the same price range.

Currently that build with shipping and taxes comes to just over 1400 Canadian. Would like to stay in that range

I have a similar build to yours. Here's mine if u need refernce: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1BJhc. Yours look fine as well. Try and get the same processor as mine as u can overclock it and get better performance.

Just updated the processor to the 3570K on my newegg wish list! How do you find the Samsung SSD? I was considering that one but it seems to have a lower write speed than others.

Just updated the processor to the 3570K on my newegg wish list! How do you find the Samsung SSD? I was considering that one but it seems to have a lower write speed than others.

if that's the kind of thing you care about in an SSD, I would get Plextor M5, amazing speeds (also look up a guide on properly handling a SSD in windows 7 before you build your system)

620w or 650w is what I would personally recommend, and just go with what I recommended, it's absolutely amazing (although I wouldn't store games in there, only games that you play way too often)

My last build I just kept my OS on a 60GB OCZ SSD. a 256GB SSD will be out of my price range. Any you suggest in the 60-12gb range?

Write speed doesn't really matter.

It sounds like you've never used a ssd before. It makes a world of difference.

Thanks for the reply. I have used one in a previous build, but I basically just bought a cheap one without looking at the specs. I was looking at the v300. Its at a price I'm willing to pay. Should that one be suffice?

You won't really notice any difference in day to day use between the ssdnow v300 and the samsung 840 among other higher tiered ssds.
