Hello, currently i am using a dvi cable to power my computer screen, if i get a hdmi to dvi, will the picture quality be better? So will it worth it?

no because the HDMI would be lowered to meet the DVI specs

okay but if my monitor has an hdmi port, so an hdmi cable would be worth it then?

well DVI and HDMI are the same just HDMI carries audio with it so if you have speakers in your monitor then it's worth to use it picture will be the same

read my edit my mind was all over. its worth it if you have speaking in your monitor but headphones or external speakers it will be the same

DVI and HDMI both transmit digital signals over the cable, so the quality will not change whatsoever. However, HDMI does transmit audio as well, so if your monitor has built-in speakers that you wish to use, then HDMI is the way to go. On-board speakers on monitors have never been good however, so I wouldn't bother with it.
