So I have a 2x3TB hdd in raid 0 and several partition. Unfortunately I forget everytime, if I format my partion, will I lose all my data or not? I want to instll remix os on my F drive which is empty but I did once before delete everything on my hard drives and I do not want to redo the same mistake. I need to format it to fat32 and it's currently on ntfs

I have as well another question. Next year I'm going to college at (hopefully) Waterloo University. Since at Waterloo university it's a coop system and I do plan to find a job in the US or elsewhere in Canada, I don't want to take my pc with me and move it every 4 months from my residence to my temporary home. Is there a way that I can use my computer using a laptop? I am not talking something like teamviewer since it can be a bit laggy. I do want to be able to game with it so I was hoping that there is a way to do the same thing that the nvidia shield can do but with a laptop. thank you very much!

Formating is, if not mistaking, does delete everything on that partition. You are changing the drive's/partition folder system. I think there are other programs, other then teamviewer, but they are more on the side of cost money to use... I just kno the Microsoft assist thing, if that is still around.

So if I want to format a 250gb partition of my 6tb raid array, I'll lose everything?

Only on that 250GB, if I'm correct.

Sorry for the late reply but thank you very much. BTW, do you think that it's ok to have a pc for college or is a laptop much better (or even a laptop/pc combo). I personally would've taken my pc but I going far away from home to study in a coop program and I'll have to travel every 4 months or so from a job back to my residence, etc. it's a total of 12 times to move a pc. I am a bit scared since it's my baby and it's not supposed to travel mucu.

I think a laptop or a combo would be good
