I have a Blackbird TKL mechanical keyboard and a Razer Naga already. I’ve been using them for Starcraft 2 for 2 years and I love them so much.

 

What do you think about the last gen i7? I can get it at a Micro Center for over $60 cheaper than what they run for on newegg

You can't OC a G3258 on that board, and it wouldn't be worth it at all with that budget.

by cable it is impractically far away. I wouldn’t be able to drill a hole in the ground or make any modifications to the house because it’s worth a hell of a lot and I just get to live with my parents while I study full time ((free 4k sq ft house w/food and family vs spending all my money on food, gas, books, and rent)part of the reason I am more willing to invest over 1k of my own money in a computer for the next half century)

I would say go for if you want to engage in over locking in the future or if you plan to step into the world of content creation but if you are going to stay a light gamer and use your computer for media consumption and homework just get a lower end skylake i5 or even a AM3+ socket chip like a 8350.

When I said 120 Hz I meant in 1080p which this build has, however you could go for 1440p (which is what I would do) and would still be cheaper than your other one without compromising any performance or downgrading GPUs

If you can get it for a good enough price, but if it is a lot more expensive than an i5 I wouldn't consider it practical for how you plan to use it (unless you started editing or something)

Great points. I suppose I should do something with DDR4 ram. What I’m going to be doing isn’t going to be very demanding and my computer will be slightly excessive. 

 

In the same breath I can say does anyone really need a Z06 corvette with 650hp?
