DAW: anything similiar to Logic?

Hey guys,

recently I saw somebody doing cool things with Apple's Logic which I sometimes need and would find it very useful. There are these FlexMarkers and the EQ where you can see the actual frequencies used at this particular time (EQ like THAT). As you can imagine, I don't want to spend the money to get a Mac(Book) (although I'd get about 200-300$ rebate on them because university :D ). Is there anything similiar to this implemented in other programs? I saw that Apple has a patent on the Flex Markers. Especially the thing with the EQ is very nice and would be a must. Would be nice to hear that there are programs out there that can do things like that!
