I've posted a couple other times looking for suggestions on some things, and as I near closer to actually building this loop, of course more things come up.

I got my ek-xtop revo d5 pump in today. I knew it was going to be bigger than the ddc, but not this much bigger. Depending on how everything else works out when I receive the rest of the parts, I may need to change my plan for where I was going to mount this beast.

Leading to the question, how crucial is it for the pump to be at the bottom of the loop? I have some very limited space constraints, and right now some of my best options are to mount it to the top of the case (if my original plan does not work). Mounting to the top of the case would put it above everything else in the loop.

Open for options from anyone who has done/seen a loop build in an inwin 901. (Im shooting for all components to be inside the case when finished)

Thanks again guys

If you want a horizontal mount a pump res unit it's not a problem, as long as the intake port on the inside of the res is down so it will never have the possibility to suck in air. You could also rear mount the unit which I've seen before on that case.
